VERDURE Welcome

Welcome

My name is Senchu Punyamurthula, and I am a novice gardener who has recently relocated to North Texas with my family. Despite the frigid temperatures of Minnesota and its extended winter, I have successfully cultivated a diverse range of trees, vegetables, and exotic plants in its Zone 4B garden zone.

We live in garden zone 7B, and I’ve learned the hard way what not to plant during long, hot summers with little to no rain. Although it’s been a valuable learning experience, I’ve had to remove many trees and shrubs and revise my list of desired plants. I’m now focusing on native and adapted varieties that can withstand these harsh growing conditions, and I’m learning that proper placement is critical.

Here’s where I spill the beans on my mishaps and foolproof strategies.

I’m interested in Ayurveda and Siddha for their preventative and curative approach to maintaining health. It can be challenging to maintain a balance, but I’m continuously learning.

I have concocted various body care products for personal use and to share with near and dear ones. I have always loved to embroider, crochet, draw, write, and use my talents to honor the Lord of my heart and soul.

My kids Rithi and Raj, my strength and hubby Nagi, are the wind I need to propel.

We have two canines – Theodore, an 8-year-old schnorkie, and Noah, a year-old Airedale. We have some Buffs Orpington to cluck and cackle.

Come visit me to embark on this adventure.
